I Still Care

Singing songs of longing,
Thinking of yesteryear.
Passion mounting strongly.
Strange craving fears.
Strumming fingers lick
The thoughts within.
Feeling today so thick.
Words cannot tell
Emotions felt so well.
As logic takes hold,
Heartstrings go cold.
You touch me deep
Where words cannot keep.
Pictures in my head
Call my soul so sweet.
Strumming softly,
Killing my soul gently
With words without end.
Moments cannot withstand
The test of time.
Without you,
I am still thine.
Sex without compassion.
Lust everlasting.
You aren't what you seem.
Hearts deeper than deep.
I am yours without end.
You'll never know who I am.
A poet, that's me, but
As a songstress, I do not stand.
Simply my heart I bare:
Without you,
I still care.
