My state is melancholy
I'm neither here nor there
Barely somewhere in between
I've had little in my life
Yet I've lost a lot
I have a job to earn money
Yet I am penniless
After all that has happened
I should be miserable
But I have Life and Love
Therefore I am happy
I have much pleasure and sorrow
So intimately intertwined
Neither is very clear for long
My state is melancholy
